Smart Transportation Challenges

How can we plan for mobility infrastructures while incorporating changing and new mobility technologies?
According to the International Transport Forum (ITF), GDP and demand for passenger and freight transport will significantly grow until 2050 – meaning that as demand grows, we must improve the planning and development of accommodating infrastructure. Primarily, infrastructure planning must account for the various needs of different road users. Infrastructure planning includes the development of bike lanes and sidewalks with shaded areas from trees, efficient and optimized parking allocation, environmentally friendly construction of roads, bridges, and rails, and energy-oriented planning.
